Dr. Myisha Lavonne is the Founder of the GoldenWings Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to inspiring and empowering youth to be mentally, socially, and professionally courageous.  She also started the S.O.S Movement, and created "Save Our Students", a mobile app that allows students of all ages to report bullying anonymously.

 

"Our youth is where our future starts and where it has the potential to end. There's an overwhelming amount of students who are suffering in silence because they are embarrassed and/or afraid.  They are embarrassed they are being victimized by their peers. Or, afraid of how they will be viewed by their peers if they walked into a faculty members office and reported an incident. No student should ever be afraid to go to school.  Nor should any student ever feel like suicide is an option for dealing with being bullied at school.  I attended four high schools in four years. I witnessed bullying and was a victim of bullying myself.  It would have made a huge difference if someone had the courage to say, this person is being bullied and needs help.  My mobile app gives students that courage".

"Save Our Students" helps students report bullying, even if they are being bullied themselves.  A designated faculty member downloads the app, and shares their user code with the students.  The students can download the app as well and report any bullying, abuse, or illegal activities occurring on school grounds.
